As we all know that due to increasing population the private builders and other are making unauthorized building/colonies to provide them houses but to solve this problem affordable housing is the only option for such colonies. Due to this there is high demand of housing but the supply is decreased because of the higher prices in Real Estate of Delhi.
In an statement on the 15th National Convention of NAREDCO the DDA’S newly Joined vice chairmen Tarun Kapoor said, “Due to the high demand of housing in Delhi the private builders made unauthorized group housing colonies in Delhi, and they were not allowed to do so in Delhi he said” he added that DDA haven’t given them lands to construct unauthorized large colonies. To change this mismatch between demands and supply DDA had started making affordable and authorized large housing project to provide Delhities their dream home in national Capital.
In the convention he said that DDA have made three changes to promote affordable and authorized colonies in Delhi they have started Land Pooling Policy, auction of plots for group housing projects to developers, under the Land Pooling Policy DDA will ask land owners or farmers who owns lands in rural areas of Delhi to register their Lands under the Land Pooling Policy and DDA will make planned development of private plots in the national capital.
DDA’s vice chairman also said that we have allowed ON 15% flat area ratio over and above permissible far for economically weaker sections of Delhi for Affordable Housing in Delhi. He said Land Pooling Policy would be a great step to make affordable living for everyone in the national capital because we will pool lands from all over Delhi so it’s like we will be developing the full city. It will be very important for affordability point of view. He said there are only few developers who are launching flats under 20 to 30 lakhs and very few developers are there in Delhi those who are launching houses below price 10 lakhs.” says Kapoor.
According to DDA their scheme of Land Pooling Policy would construct around 17 lakhs affordable housing in coming years in Delhi and it will give benefit around 70 lakhs of people who lives in Delhi. As we had mentioned earlier that we had launched an online web portal on 5th February for inviting registrations under Land Pooling Policy earlier the end of registration date was august but due to a better response we have extended it to September 6.
