Infrastructure Project Has Introduced To Turn 89 Villages as Urban Areas

In order to develop the infrastructure projects, the Delhi government has announced 89 villages as urban areas. In those localities, the infrastructure projects are going to be executed. It is one of the major developments, which helps authorities extraordinarily.

Regarding this announcement, the Delhi government’s urban development department has published a notification yesterday. This notification has been released officially after Lt Governor Anil Baijal has approved this project (i.e) Delhi Development Authority’s (DDA) Land Pooling Policy (LPP).

For around two complete years, this policy has been stuck.

Initially, the Delhi government went onto a deep research of buying a land for developing facilities from the DDA like stadiums, electrical sub-stations, old-age homes, industrial areas, schools, hostels, etc. But after the approval (89 villages are selected for developing infrastructure projects) of the Land Pooling Policy, there is no need Delhi government to buy land from outside.

Initially, the LPP is having the motive to get a group of land owners or individuals who are living in those villages on Delhi’s border – to group their land in those villages and submit it to the DDA.

The DDA will develop the land’s infrastructure which they bought from LPP by modernizing the environment like putting roads on pooled areas and then they will return that property to the landowner.

Due to the infrastructure development, the price range of that land will automatically get increased.

The areas of 89 villages which are announced as urban areas by AAP government are Bazidpur Takren, Sultanpur Dabas, Neb Sarai, Mukhmelpur, Baprola, Goela Khurd, Bakkarwala, Neelwal, and Salahpur Majra.

Due to this successful implemention, there is an assumption raised that, by 2021, the 25 lakh construction housing units will be proposed by DDA’s Master Plan Delhi  2021 for which around 10,000 hectares of land will be needed.

According to this estimates of DDA, 1,000 hectares of land will be required for 50,000 EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) units from 2.5 lakh houses.

In order to comfort the farmer’s lifestyle, this project will be very much useful.

By looking out this move, the Opposition Leader in the Delhi Assembly and BJP MLA, Vijender Gupta has appreciated very much and he also declares that 20 lakh families can get affordable housing via this move.

He also admits that this move can turn out the unauthorized colonies into an authorized one. Due to the direct cognizance which has been considered by Delhi L-G, the notification comes.
